My next project will be to figure out a mount for the Geeetech extruder break out board, so I can mount it to my Ender. This should make replacement of components and maintenance of the head a much simpler task... One large connector to remove and then the entire hot end comes off.

Nice! I'm waiting on a (clone) Bondtech BMG extruder and pancake stepper to arrive, along with a (clone, of course) BLTouch.

Hopefully that'll get me to happy and I'll stop messing with stuff.

I believe some of the appeal of a 3d printer is the "f**king with it, because I can" factor.

Says the guy with one defunct Printrbot LC, one sort of operational Geeetech A10M and one currently dead, but working toward fixing the problems, Ender 3.

You guys might be on to something, and the boxes of other upgrade parts that are scattered between here and China might be evidence of that.

But surely, once I replace EVERYTHING for the second time, it'll be done... Right?

Nope... By the time that happens, some other company will have created another set of "better, faster, sexier" parts for your machine... or worse, you will want to steal parts from another machine to graft onto the first machine

Nah, it'll be the even more dangerous realization that I've got 90% of a printer already sitting in the spare parts drawer.
