Here are some magazine basepads I printed out for my PPQ. Finger grip extension for my PPQ SC, and flared magwell-compatible plates for 18rd Canik, 15rd Walther, and 17rd Walther mags, so they'll all work in my Q5 Match.

I am having a heck of a time with zits while printing with PETG (atomic filament PETG pro). I'm using s3d for the slicer. At first I could barely remove parts from the bed, so I increased the 1st layer height and dropped the bed temp a few degrees. I'm good there now, but the current issue is that I'm getting zits at the same point all the way up the z-axis and it appears to be where the extrude stops. I watched it and it's actually over-extruding so the end of the layer slightly overlaps the start instead of butting up. I have tried messing with retractions, coasts and extrusion multipliers and nothing seems to help. I have absolutely 0 stringing with my current settings, but the zits force me to sand the surface. Any suggestions?

There's a setting in Cura that let's you print from the "outside-in". Something like that might help? My first thought was coasting, but you said your tried that. Another thought, maybe try lowering the temp a couple degrees?

I'm actually struggling with stringing at the moment - what did you do to eliminate stringing? Also, do you like s3d? I might give it a try.

I'll take a look. I actually forgot that I did bump the extruder temp a few degrees. Hrm, I'll bet you're right. Doh!

S3D is ok, but I'm really struggling to see the overall value vs ideamaker. I used ideamaker with my wanhao i3 (heavily modified) and the only issue I had was the supports always stuck to the model. The support in s3d seem to always come off clean, but outside that I am considering going back to ideamaker.

I just bought a QIDI XMAX and it's an absolute beast. At dye we ran several raise 3d printers and I had a form 2. Since I left dye, I sent the form 2 back and replaced it with another FDM printer. So far the XMAX is probably the best value in a 3d printer I've come across. My little wanhao i3 got the normal upgrades like better cooling, z-axis brace, glass print surface, new y-carriage, new belt braces and I'm going to add the mosfet before I go back to using it. I think I may dedicate it to just printing PETG because the crap is sticky and use the XMAX for everything else.

I did see you talk about nylon and I run that from my print dry almost straight into the printer. Doing anything else is just annoying. Taulman 910 is excellent. I also really like using ASA.

The fan on my Ender 3's hot end threw a blade. So, I didn't print a damn thing today. My replacement fan is on order and I'm upgrading the PTFE tube with a Capricorn while I'm at it. In the meantime, my printer is down.
