Awesome! I had been watching your progress on AO, and then it seemed to dry up. I was hoping you might get a chance to finish the modeling, and save me from the work

Good luck and please keep us informed. It is a great project.

im thinking more of a "box" design to be honest with you. but aesthetically nice, and of course really good function. not sure yet but going to get there for sure.
the issue with the radial like shells isnt making the shells its making a lip that works good with just one material.
the idea of the design that i have it would be done if i had my dual machine built already
because that allows for me to have an outer bounce shell, and would assist with the shells mating ability, and of course the gearing goal is to be able to print these.

edit*** just had an idea for how to mate the shells, wont make it the easiest to pop apart but it will help alot with the project. thank you, just needed to spitball for a second.

I make a great sounding board, and paper weight

Are you designing in Fusion360?

If you'd like a co-conspirator, I would be willing to take a look. I have recently worked creating a 68 Special to TPX mag adapter project for COB. It in nearing the "Break it in testing" phase

I made the move from Solidworks to Fusion360 about 2 years ago... I was part of the Fusion beta test, and had been using Solidworks since 2001... It was not a difficult transition... It was mildly frustrating, as I had to change how I created joints between objects.
