CCI Phantom Box Gun Kit

Here's the boxgun kit I've been working on. Pump doubles as a raincover. Kit uses an 8" CCI barrel. This was designed around a Dukie gas-in-grip, but could be done with OEM parts (I don't care for the look with OEM parts though, the back of the marker looks too long). I want to integrate a cheep micro dot sight, but iron sights would work just as well. Also, I'm not sold on the body design yet either, I think the detailing will change somewhat. Suggestions?

Design challenges:
  • I need a dual rod pump kit to test this. I'll probably need to have longer guide rods made too. It may not end up needing the dual rod kit, but I suspect the additional pump rod length will make it prone to binding.
  • Will definitely need to get a longer pump rod made.
  • For the raincover to work it's best, the last 2.5ish inches of barrel will need to be heavily ported.
  • I don't have easy access to a 3D printer and the body is big enough that iterating this through a company like shapeways is too expensive (for me) ... anyone with a printer want to collaborate?

Kinda reminds me a bit of an UZI or Mac-10. Neat.

Is the gun a cover for the body or a body? If it's a body, can you put in a detent or make it AC threaded?

It's a cover, and could easily be made to fit a Roundhead.

808-snek... what are the dimensions of the body?

My printer can print 220mm x 200mm x 250mm. I am currently loaded with PLA, but I have PETG available. I can NOT print ABS, as it makes Jen sick, and I refuse to do that to her.

Body dims are 217x, 29y, 46z.

I'm not particular about the prototype materials. Ultimately, I want to have them done in PA12 though. I just can't afford to iterate with my usual suspects - they want close to a hundred bucks for this. no.

808-snek, call me in about 30 minutes if you can. I may be able to put it on the printer tonight for testing tomorrow.

We do need to discuss model orientation and infill percentage.
