Tripple Take setup lol...

I forgot to tell the printer to not bridge over open areas, so the barrel is all dirty inside with print hairs. Might have to re-print to do a test.

This is set up as a barrel, and not a shell.

The barrel takes a small cartridge / clip (that is a mini shell).

The scope is useless since it is long eye relief needs to be 5" farther up, just for fun.

That is cool! Have you considered using Freak XL inserts as barrel linings?

@freedummy ; Thanks! I haven't that seems like it'd be hard! Also I don't own a kit.

New developments, I'm printing the middle one of these 3 sawn-off handles in wooden pla and going to attempt a stain. We'll see how that comes out.

*40% in so far and I must be printing too hot because this thing is cover in fine hairs... I don't understand how cause there are no overhangs or travels it's just a solid chunk. I think I might be able to burn em off with a lighter when it's done.

*Print failed cause the filament snapped at the spool, it is very brittle. Hairs easily removed with a lint remover and tacky tape.

Added tube to printer to hopefully reduce sudden pull stress on the filament and avoid more snaps. Wood reprint started again.

Sister printer taking another stab at printing a half-stock using a 3kg spool on rollers, last time failed but made some tweaks should finish this time.

*wood print failed again, filament too brittle must not have been vacuum sealed. Looks like I'm not going to be messing with wood again for a while at least until I can dry out this spool.

Failed prints are a treasure that can yield designs that wouldn't have been tested under normal circumstances.

I present you the ultra sawn-off stock, best suited for firing from a below the waist position.

It's terrible.

Alright this is the last stock revision I've sort of exhausted this. This one will hold the tripple barrel shells that are under going testing still.

This thing is pretty dumb to print it requires a lot of supports in the shell areas. Hopefully it comes out nicely.

Last thing I really want to do is get some sort of vertical front grip going, which will likely drilling and tapping 2 screw mounts into the aluminum barrel section.

Shell-holding tac stock test print is done. The long cylinder at the bottom, ideally is strong enough to use as a sling mount.. it also gives the stock a bit of a benelli M4 look, just a bit.

I want a front grip on this metadyne tho. Working on that.

Thanks

Kind of relevant to this project, I voided the warranty and hacked up the barrel a bit to accept a bottom rail while testing a phone tripod I found on thingiverse : https://youtu.be/W75byRFqZ8I

Just goofing around
