3d printing helmet??

I'm looking to see if anyone has 3d printed a helmet. Ive been looking to get a Brodie helmet steel ones are a bit pricey but will get one if I have to. I have found a file one to print one just curious on the cost to get it done https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2346110

3d printing helmet??

My printer isn't big enough to make one, but my first thought would be vacuum forming? The shape is pretty simple, though I admit I have no vacuum forming experience.

Would already need the helmet first to vacuum form it to make a copy I believe

I was thinking along the lines of just rough shaping it from wood or foam or something to use as the mold
