Hmmm.... I have a new set of SI Internals. Maybe I'll swap them out and see how it works.....

Common misconception during the period was that SS internals were smoother in a SI . They were smoother initially if the gun was new and they broke in well but the relativity soft anno and soft AL of the time were no match for the hard SS long term use would score and were down the breach. One other thought was it was easer to tune your velocity as the bolt adjustable in after market internals not the hammer like SI. The SI internals were damn light, ( close to the super light set up in a ghost) efficient and durable.
