My Mag is a Blender

As my username suggests, I'm no expert with mags. I know someone here is and can confirm my suspicions.

So, this gun looks and feels great, but I break paint using both my revy and spire while using an over bored barrel. I'm confident that these are chops, not barrel breaks. The detent is springy and shouldnt be the problem with the revy. They happen at even low ROFs and pretty much every time I go fast.

Question 1 : Is the thing on this bolt tip a "foamie?"
Question 2 : Is this ball sitting too far back in the breech? it seems like it is to me, and from what I've read that is a major source of chops.

Question 3 : If that isn't a foamie, would getting one help? And if so, does the AGD site still work, if not, where do I get them?

Get a proper AGD bolt, like a later long-nose bolt, not that ANS venturi bolt that's in there right now, and that should fix you up.

A level 10 bolt would be the best solution, realistically, but expensive.

Yes, that's a foamie, yes, the ball is too far back in the breech.

“But Lord,” asked Gabriel, “Is this not too generous to these Canadians?”

And God replied, “Just wait and see the neighbors I shall inflict upon them.”

Level 10 does seem like a good option, but is it a set it and forget it kind of thing, or do you tune with each case of paint?

My experience with a level 10 was very set and forget. My mag fired fantastically, or at least didn't chop, even when I fed it horrible varieties of cheap old paint.

I'm a bit in the same boat. Would Level 10 actually be softer on paint or is it just to bounce off paint instead of chopping? I feel like the mag breaks paint more because of rough handling than outright chops.

What is the setup?

Powerfeed? Classic Valve?

The above advice is solid. The ANS bolts are plagued with an issue that allows rollback. What actually happens is that the ball up the feed protrudes into the breech and gets the bottom chopped off. This issue wasn't so bad with the 'old school' big paint, but is made much worse by the common small paint of today, as well as big bore barrels/detent.

I would look for a long nose L7 AGD bolt. That, paint that isn't too brittle, an electronic loader like a revi, and FULL PULLS on the trigger (yes you can short stroke a mag) and you should be golden. I personally don't use L10 because it's inefficient, gimmicky, expensive, and mostly just troublesome to be worthwhile on truly brittle paint.

Don't bother, I may have a lvl 7 bolt if you are interested

I say may because I'm still a mag newbie myself. I know I have a lvl10 in the mag but I have a second bolt in parts that came with it. I think it's lvl 7

Also, I don't think that is a foamie you have there. The agd ones are kind of triangle shaped not a cylinder

Here they are

And for future reference, everything I've heard is that the agd page is still a good place to order from. I have not yet myself though
