Rear grip frame screw is a 10-32x1" I believe. You're also going to need the screw on the top. That will also be a 10-32 but I think it'll only need to be about 1/2" long.

I read somewhere that the gun needs the sight rail to work with the top screw to hold something in place. Is that true?
Edit: Also, there doesn't appear to be anything for the screw to thread into. Are the threads supposed to be on the body or something that is inside?
It doesn't look like the back cap is on there. Pic of the back ?

Both the top and grip frame screw thread into the reg body that is inserted in the back of the main body. A sight rail isn't required as long as there is a screw there it's fine.

So, am I missing anything? I have access to machine tools so I can make anything that is missing.
That's not good. It looks like you're missing the entire regulator assembly.

That is not good, indeed. I talked to MaD and he said it is possible to have just a solid back cap and run my own reg like on a Super Nova? How viable an option would that be?
That would work as long as you use a reg. that works at 90psi.
