Why...in this enlightened era...is there still no small agitated hopper?

Just what it says in the title. How come there's no 50-100 round motorized hopper available--from any manufacturer?

I don't care if it's a revvy or a rotor in terms of technology...just wish there was something small that we could pay money and obtain!

For me, this is the single largest gap in terms of today's paintball product landscape...

Because I haven't gotten to it yet.

A better question is why are there still junk gravity hopper designs? A well designed gravity will feed great without a need for batteries... I have a Extreme Rage hopper that bolts together that never skips a beat. If I could get one of those in a smaller size that would be bangin'!

No kidding...I see frontmen playing hopperball, why not run with a 100 round forcefeed and 50-80 round pods? Mobility is a huge bonus when you lighten up the gun, and the hopper/paint is like 40% of the weight in a modern setup.

I remember seeing a custom one built by Mad Marty on one of his guns.

Sure. There have been a variety of projects over the years.

But...why nothing brought to market?

Cost. A company isn't willing to spend several thousand dollars in development money, possibly tens of thousands, to create something that will have a limited customer base.

Maybe it's that most non-nerd ballers (us) that play rec don't want to have to reload as much?

I agree though. I keep thinking about throwing a Revy motor on a Sportshot, then I get distracted by food or shiny things.

edit^^^ what he said.

I'll just use a term that HC used and say that's the beauty of us nerd-ballers. How many unique items have come from smaller groups or one man shops around here? I can think of 5 instantly, but there are probably way more than that within the last few years. Would it be small scale and a little more expensive? Sure, but if it catches on then you can make them in bigger quantities and maybe bring the price down. Droop is designing one right now, so am I.

There was talk on PBN of Pinokio coming out with a 100 round or so force fed hopper, but I never saw anything else about it.
