Mq3 why not?????

Honestly, I think the healing should be done by now. The used price of the mq2 is increasingly cost prohibitive. They're balooning out of control. We need MQ-3!!!!!!!!!!

Because frankly, there's no motivation to improve on a design that's already been made obsolete by modern electros. Want a more modern E-cocker? Buy an Ego, or G6R.

There's a very good reason why no one makes closed bolt semi's anymore, except vintage-oriented custom shops like Palmers. It's because there isn't any advantage to it, and it has more issues, like rollouts, timing, etc.

People still play pump don't they? I guess I'm still a little old school. There's a market, and nobody's filling it.

Sure, there's a market. But the market is very small and the prices reflect that.

And I don't see what pumps have to do with a desire for a new (or cheaper) MQ valve.

IŽve had a mq1 and mq2, and IŽll rather stick to hammer and springs.

The comment about pump was a shot about old obsolete technology, that people are still using. Mainly it beings a challenge to the field, I guess ia what I was trying to say. And in regards to making an improvement to the mq2, a set screw in the solenoid housing to prevent from shearing wires during installation is all I could think to improve any design.

I dunno, just saying, I guess....

Any comments about the 'limited market' for these valves or the fact that they have been made obsolete are somewhat irrelevant; MQ2's still sell for 200 easily, and anything around 150 will literally sell within 2 days.
I have little machine experience but I have spent long enough on a lathe to know that a remake of the MQ could be done with very little effort for less than 100, probably by someone as unskilled as myself.
Last I checked, the market is driven by money, and there is plenty of that to be made here.
