I like dye that's all I've ever liked others just felt blocky to me, the dyes breath really good get lots of bounces off of them and have plenty of padding

Dye is handsdown the best out there and IMO it's worth the higher price. PE would be my second choice if I were on a budget.

Keep in mind I've used both, PE for 1,5 years and the Dye for almost one year now. I definitely prefer Dye

PE - I have purchased 3 sets in the last year not because they are worn out but because they fit so well for me that I wanted extras

DYE - I wasn't comfortable in them for some reason but they are worth the $ just not for me - these are now my loaner/keep 'em in the car with the pump just in case a random paintball game breaks out after work

Empire - stitching was wonky on the two sets I tried (ordered one set couldn't fit my right hand "in") sent em back to try a different pair same thing - their QC musta been sick for that run or something. They blew their second chance.

.02 - my opinions experiences - best to try before you buy or have an online retailer that has a great return policy.

TL;DR hole size controls how fast balls get spent

I still rock an old pair of Dye Core pads...the ones that look like something The Road Warrior would have worn. They've held up great for years, stay put on my arms, and protect very well.
