Sniper on CO2 help...

Okay, how do I get my sniper to run on CO2?

I built this a while back:

It almost works with a reg - but the reg I had to put on there is bloody awful. I would say broken and not worth fixing.

I would like to run it on straight CO2 without a regulator. I am theorizing there is some valve and spring magic that needs to occur here, I just need to know what spell to cast.

The very thing. I had an odd feeling I would be sending the Palmers some money...

Use an older WGP valve with small air passages (or the Palmer's one someone linked to) with a hard valve spring and a light/medium hammer spring.

Thank-you, Maggot. I think I'll check over at Bacci's to see if he has some old 'cocker bits on the cheap. So far, the most expensive part of the build was the pump, I would like to keep it that way.

Also, it turns out that I am an idiot. I asked the forum this same question a couple of YEARS ago.

Obviously my seven other guns have kept me busy enough to not worry much about this one... Still, after this long, I do kind of want to finish the build and actually USE the thing.

I know you said you want to run straight CO2, are you looking to run with a verticle bottle set up? I'm not sure if that VAA will push the pin on a tank valve or not. You may have to go for a VAA w/o the 15* tilt.

Looks like a CMI regulator...had one myself and they are junk. If you end up having to run a reg, WGP regs aren't bad for co2.

but as already said, palmers valve and maybe a different VA and/or tank valve w/ on/off.
