Home-Made Barrel Swab?

Anyone ever made a home-made berral swab? It can't be difficult. I'm thinking a length of paracord tied around cut t-shirt strips, so it can be pulled through like the Bore Snakes for real guns?

Can anyone see any efficency problems with something like this? I'm gonna give it a try and post results, unless someone here can gimme a reason why this wouldn't be efficient.

I've done it, regular fabric works great for the first pull through, after that, not so much. I had better luck with soft foam or shammy cloth. My favorite is single use heavy duty shop towels. You can even weight the end of the cord if you want to make it easier to use through the feedneck. That being said, I only use home-made ones for my 18"+ barrels that need the extra long cord.
