Well, with pepper balls you really don't want a chop, and a cylinder has a better chance of functioning through a round failure.

We can afford more of those risks.

I seem to remember Alpha having a physical prototype of an FS-capable Q-loader pod, but I'm not sure it ever actually got tested. Now that he's gone from MCB (and seemingly paintball in general as I don't see him posting elsewhere either) I'm not sure we'll ever know.

I was disappointed to learn that you can't feed FS rounds into a DRV through the springfeed tube. According to tests, a backwards-loaded FS round will usually right itself after being fired and fly true. I figured if they were indexed back-to-back, alternating directions that they would get picked up by the cylinder properly, but according to people who tried this isn't the case.
