Tippman98 mag fed adapter kit - problems

I am using the Tippman mag fed adapter kit on a Tippman98. I'm getting roll-outs and I think that the springs in the magazine are overpowering the ball latch (detent).

Anybody having a similar problem?

I'm using the zeta mags which are longer and potentially have more spring pressure than the 7-round tpx mags.

I hardly used mine, but when I did I used the Tippmann 12 ball mags with no issues. My 98 was built just for that kit, so it had a fresh detent. Is the issue present with the 7 ball mags at all? Have you tried a fresh detent?

Have you tried a fresh detent? Don't have. will play this weekend without unlocking springs - gravity style. Hopefully the field will have some new detents.

Well that does complicate the matter! Hopefully the field has a new detent and that solves it! It would be a shame if the mags were the issue! Hope it works out!

7 rd 12 rd and zetas with no rollout issues -
a new detent would be in order - would also recommend a OEM product if available

TL;DR hole size controls how fast balls get spent
