burst disk replacement ...

I just bought a smaller HPA tank and the burst disk went right away. I have some brass colored ones (possibly for co2 tanks) and I am wondering if they would be suitable as replacements.

You want to make sure you are using the correct size burst disk for the pressures you are dealing with. Is this a 3K or a 4.5K tank?

Did the HP or LP disk blow?

If it was the LP disk is there a problem with the regulator?

You are going to want to figure out why it went in the first place before you put new ones on and keep blowing them out.

They would not.

On the side of the burst disk there is an imprint.
If your 5k burst disk blew, just replace it.
If your 1.8k disk blew you might need to rebuild your reg.

IDK, I've seen a ton of 1.8k burst disks go just because. No problems with the reg at all, they just weaken over time. I'd say replace it first and if it breaks again, then look at the reg.

Buy a few extras, because you could save someone's day by having an extra.
