Most modern Eclipse guns have these specifically for filtering air from bad fills to prevent debris from entering the solenoid. Either located between the ASA and frame or above the HPR depending on the model.

Anyone know where to purchase these, I have a stock class pumpmag in mind and I don't see how this could hurt

Most welding shops will have these. I have 4 or 5 I picked up back in the day and just found them at the local welding shop.

these 1/8 npt fittings with the filters pressed into them may be the easiest, readily available solution:

(2) Pack Pro-Team In-Line PRO-FLOW FILTER 1/8" NPT w/replaceable element

In the world I see - you are stalking elk through the damp canyon forests around the ruins of Rockefeller Center. You'll wear leather clothes that will last you the rest of your life. You'll climb the wrist-thick kudzu vines that wrap the Sears Tower. And when you look down, you'll see tiny figures pounding corn, laying strips of venison on the empty car pool lane of some abandoned superhighway.

It was a horror show in the early 90s. Nobody really understood "dirty co2", until automags started getting hot gun penalties at every tournament.

Basically, dirt/debris from the co2 tank would clog the reg, and prevent the valve from seating properly, allowing it to creep pressure higher and higher. Eventually to the venting point, but your FPS will be hot if you havnt fired in a while.

AGD starting shipping guns with a preinstalled filter, and sent filters to all the dealers. The problem diminished until cleaner HPA eliminated the issue.

I remember around 93, some tournaments had to have special "mag rules", allowing them to have "clearing shots" at the chrono, specifically to avoid the hot gun penalties because teams were getting so pissed.
That's why we had the Magic Box!
