Random way to big picture of the type of nylon spacers I use for this. I think my local hardware store sells them for $.15-$.65 depending on size.

What are the dimensions so I know what to look for when I go to the hardware store?

It's been a while but if I were to guess the ones I used most were 3/8 diameter and 1/4 long?

I would suggest taking the valve body with you to get the diameter right and then get a couple different lengths. Sit down out side with a bag of paint, pen/paper and a chrono. Shoot your heart out and see what works.

Ever heard of Boyle's Law?
P/V = V/P or Pressure divided by Volume is equal to Volume divided by Pressure. Basically, one cubic inch at 500 psi is equal to five cubic inches at 100 psi.
If you decrease the volume, you need to increase the pressure OR increase the dwell to get enough air to force the paintball up to velocity. Conversely, more volume allows a lower pressure (and a shorter dwell).

Too small a volume will mean that the air supply will quickly drop below the pressure required.
Too much volume means the air supply will soon not have enough gas required.

"efficiency" is the balance point between the two.

Sometimes, I talk too much.
