Splatmaster 12g pin seal

I have an old splatmaster that looks like it's in decent shape now that I've cleaned it but it's missing the rubber seal that goes around the pin that pierces the 12g. does anyone know the dimensions and hardness used for the rubber seal? it looks easy enough to make I just want to get the size correct.

Actually, the original Splatmasters didn't come with a rubber 12 gram seal. Because of this, my Splatmaster will not accept Lelands as they immediately blow out. However, Crosmans work perfectly.

Interesting....
I have several Splatmasters & Rapides that I assumed wouldn't work because it looked like the seal had deteriorated, yet when I aired them up they worked fine.
Good to know about the Lelands too....

Iirc, I used an old automag reg seat, which worked well for at least few 12gs. It is still in there, it just doesn't get heavy use.

I used a Sheridan 12g face seal. Works fine with a dab of glue behind to hold it in.

Didn't know that. I'm not sure if I have an original or not. I just say that bacci paintball had some old ones and just assumed mine was missing.

By "original", I'm referring to the NSG Splatmasters as opposed to the more modern JT .50 cal Splatmasters. So, what you have is one of the old school Splattys.

"back in the day" ( 1989), we used RTV silicone around the piercing pin on our Splatmasters.

awesome, I was thinking of trying something like that. I've definitely got some of that lying around.
