Thumb cocking PGP?

I've been wondering about this for a few days, and I'm sure I'm not the first. Has anyone put together a thumb cocking mechanism for a PGP, like a revolver hammer type thing? I think it'd have to work similarly to an autotrigger on a Sheridan, with a slotted piece hinging from the bottom tube interfacing with a pin through the bolt, with a flange off the back for your thumb. Have to be on both side, with the horizontal bolt pin going straight through, to avoid binding and facilitate ambidextrous use. Probably too heavy to cock one-handed, though, unless it was a longer-than-practical lever.

Thoughts?

Been working on a design for a while now, pulling together tools and money. My first idea was just for a bolt-on grip frame but the PGP's short hammer travel is problematic. It's going to have to be a scratch-built gun. I'm getting closer but it's been a slow process.

I was thinking something like this. If it isn't clear, that's the rear of a PGP with the bolt sticking out the back of the middle tube.

That seems like it could work but you'd have to close the bolt manually or include a return spring to do it for you. The end of your cocking stroke (hehe) might be pretty stiff with or without a return spring, binding might be an issue as well with your thumb lever pulling down on the bolt at the end of its travel. Ideally, you'd want the pivot for your lever to be farther back so all of your travel is across the top or your lever's arc. For instance, if your total travel was 60 degrees you'd want to start 30 degrees-ish before TDC to limit binding.
Or so I've pondered.

Yeah definitely want a return spring. And I figure a more downward pull would be easier than rearward, but without actually putting it together and trying, who knows.

How about a thumb actuated pneumatic switch to a cylinder that cocks the PGP for you. Along the lines of the pump assist kits that were being sold awhile back.

I hear some guy named Glenn Palmer makes those now but you use your finger instead of your thumb.

And God replied, “Just wait and see the neighbors I shall inflict upon them.”

Made one back in the late '90s or early '00s that used 'cocker pneumatics (as several builders were doing at the time), only instead of a trigger linkage to activate the 3-way, I had it turned around with a spring-loaded collar attached to the shaft right where my thumb would sit while holding the gun. Firing it went like so:

Pull (and release) the trigger;
Press the 3-way in, causing the ram to push back the bolt/hammer;
Tilt the gun so a ball would roll into the chamber;
Release the 3-way, allowing the spring to push the 3-way shaft back to its original position, closing the bolt;
Repeat.

It solved two problems for me: First, I didn't have the tools, knowledge, or skills to come up with (and fabricate) a reliable trigger linkage back then, and second, reliable springfeeds were still a ways off at that time, with the exception of a few custom builders who made their own springs. With the pushbutton, I could hold the bolt open until I was sure the ball was fully in the chamber before releasing it, making the whole thing possible without a springfeed.
