I honestly haven't noticed much of a difference between brands, but I usually buy Leland.

I buy Lelands in bulk so I don't need to worry about not having them.

What makes one cartridge manufacturer better than another?

Thickness of the metal, quality of the fill (cleanliness), effectiveness with different types of changers. Stuff like that.

Consistent length, fill quality (Not tar like "oil" in the cartridge) and fill consistency (No empty/dead cartridges).

I periodically ask people that play with them all the time because manufacturing will sometimes change and the quality of product will go up or down.
