Sa-17 isn't a bad choice. It's largish - but I wouldn't call it heavy. For those that think a SA-17 is heavy, beware the Squall....

Zeus is fun, it's also forward heavy and changing 12 grams can be a pain.
But it points well and most paint is consistent enough to play with.

Latest field paint I've used is stupid tiny, easily .678, and I still got 22 shots at 270fps.
.684 paint shoots really well out of my zeus. Shoots FSR AMAZING (slightly enlarged breach to hand load ).

For modern pistols either the TIPX or FSC. FSC because as a super compact pistol it performs really well, albeit it is kinda blocky.

I had a PGP and didn't care for it, fun to screw around with, but really annoying to shoot in game. I've shot a T8 and it was a little janky feeling, but I never used it in game.
I like the ER2 as an intro to stock class pistol that's cheap to set people up with, but the pump just doesn't have enough grip for me. I've got big hands, though.

I had an SA-17 for a long time. It's an awesome pistol, very accurate, and extremely reliable (does not chop paint and does not brake down)but the feed need some mod to be really good. (Killerito got my old same now I think, he might have pictures of the feed mod)
I had it in a holster for most of the time, it is on the bulky side, but they are all bulky ... The only way to go smaller is mag feed.
I changed for a tipx (side pistol for my ssr)

For primary I really recommend the SA-17 if you don't want to go magfeed.

married a "new" trracer toprail to a mag with Docs adapter and ac freak barrel and shorty tip - this allows me to use a small hopper and remote or 10 round spring feed and 12gram changer - I might be able to find a pic if necessary...

TL;DR hole size controls how fast balls get spent

Isnt the SA17 a modern, rehashed USP with a better feedneck?

I like this thread - I too have owned and sold a lot of pistols, and I voted for Sheridan (PGP) mostly because it is rock solid and reliable.

Thrilled to see that some people really like the ER4, may give mine more of a chance this weekend at Game of Bones.

As I mostly enjoy playing with my Phantom, when I'm not playing stock class I would definitely prefer to have a semi-automatic sidearm.

I'm hoping Peaches can work his magic on my Overlord, as with the custom feedgate Apocalypse created for it it would be perfect if it could only get above 200fps.

I love my ER4. It's not a "serious" gun so I just run around like an assh*le and enjoy the pure ridiculousness of it. Any time I've tried to go serious with a pistol I don't have fun.
