Mask suggestions?

My JT mask lense fell apart today and rather than get a new lense that will do the same in short order, I'm thinking it might be time for a more modern mask.

What's out there that fits comparable to a JT? It needs to fit over glasses and have a visor.

“But Lord,” asked Gabriel, “Is this not too generous to these Canadians?”

And God replied, “Just wait and see the neighbors I shall inflict upon them.”

Virtue vio masks

But the foam falls out

Dragging my feet on getting a used pair

Would be nice to have them for getting close and crazy on no surrender games

Big fan of the Eflex, sly profit, and EVS myself. I can’t do the I4/5 personally, too slim. Never tried a VIO so I can’t speak for them.

The Eflex is pretty much a JT 2.0 as far as “feel” in my opinion though

VIOs are pretty much the spiritual successor of the Proflex. It has similar modularity, similar foam, but has a quick change lens and much tighter fit. I can't wear i4s or KLRs, but the VIOS fit me very well. I could not recommend them more.

I second the Eflex.

Very comfy, good vision, and good coverage.

Big fan of the i5s since I picked them up last year. Same lens as the i4, but more jaw protection. I have a pretty big head(7 7/8 hat to give you an idea) and I feel like they provide lots of coverage. If you can swing the price, they're worth it.

No suggestion for a mask. Just go to the store and try them on. ALL OF THEM. The one that fits the best is the one you buy. Masks are a finicky thing. What fits for that individual may not fit the other. Don’t listen to any of the marketing. Its all fluff and hype. The mask MUST fit properly.

Story time. When I was shopping for a new mask to replace my eflex I was looking at the Virtue because it was the new and cool one at the time. Went to the store to buy. Tried on a Grillz and i5s just to compare. I bought the Grillz because they were the superior fit.

You know just your mention of needing to fit glasses under your mask makes me wonder why there has never been a prescription lens in a paintball mask. I understand you can get scuba diving goggles with a prescription lens. Why not paintball masks?

You can get an prescription insert that fits within your goggles, https://www.gogglesnmore.com/univers...r-ski-goggles/

Ive heard people talk about prescription lens stickers but I can’t find them, maybe my search terms aren’t correct or maybe it’s just a rumor.

I do base my mask recommendations on things like how I also wear glasses and I’ve got a pretty big head so if a mask fits me comfortably it might be worth a look

I wear Virtue Vio Contours, and love them. Like you, I needed something that was a comfortable fit over glasses. As suggested, I went to a local shop and tried on everything that they had in stock - and I recommend that you try to do the same, if possible. Apart from something that has a large enough aperture to fit glasses, your face/head shape is going to play into the fit. For me, these were the closest fit to my old Scott OTGs (RIP).

One other thing that I can recommend, if you can't/don't wear contacts, is you can look at picking up an inexpensive pair of prescription sports glasses. I used to have a pair similar to this:

Zenni Prescription Wind Googles

Since they are made to sit closer to your face, it does make for more possibilities in googles that will fit. Sadly, my astigmatism has gotten to the point that I can no longer wear those - or at least I haven't found any that will work with my prescription, yet.
