Any Pellet Gun Experts here?

I have a Daisy 953 (853c) that will not drop the hammer, and ideas on what's wrong?

I wouldn't call myself an expert, but I've repaired a few PCP, CO2 cartride and pump pellet rifles. IMO, it's time to break it down to the FCG and see what's binding:

I've already watched this series of videos a few times. It started after I tore it down.

You're going to need to do it again and find out what's binding the hammer or sear.

It's either one of the trigger components not dropping the sear, the sear not moving far enough to release the hammer or the tube binding the hammer or spring (could be broken pin/s, misaligned part/s, etc.). Best bet is to tear it apart again and start over.

Or take it to a tech, but where's the fun in that?

Check your trigger return spring, or try using your index finger to carefully push the trigger forward as you cock it. Did it work when you did that?

Standard warnings apply: Unload first, Apply sunscreen, eye protection, point in a safe direction, etc.
