Even still, speed and features aside I'd take a Halo over a eggy durability wise. The halos were not GOOD in that respect but it was still an upgrade over the eggy

I never do. I think I took one of my eggs apart once to put in a new board iirc but that’s it. None of them ever took any nasty hits, broke paint inside, etc. The lid hinges & battery doors would always just eventually break through normal use. The neoprene cover gives me an idea though......

recently bought a eggy 3 because they looked cool, lid works still but the battery door is tapped shut. how do you adjust the tension of the hopper, mine has the z board and i tried turning the white speed adjustment on the side of it to turn it down but it didnt seem to do anything.

Eggy 3 have no adjustments, as it's not supposed to need it due to it being more "intelligent". The older Eggies have a speed adjustment that adjust speed that the motor turns at. Since eggies are so soft on paint due to their flexible arms, I just turn the speed all the way up.

Yeah mine broke the first time tried adjusting mine, it was all the way up though thank goodness. Never had a reason to turn it down.
