Keeping an egg 3 in good shape...

Just got an egg 3 in the mail today & itís in really good condition. Iíve owned a number of them over the years and while I really like them a lot, the shells are of course notoriously fragile. Mine have always broken at the lid hinges & battery door. Iíve kept them going with vacuum belts, super glue, etc. So my question is has anyone found a way to keep their eggs relatively intact? I thought about maybe dipping the lid hinges in plastidip or something similar but I donít know if thatíll do any good. Suggestions?

How about someone designing a 3d printed collar to add a (choose the most common) speed feed to?

The best way I have found is to put it in your closet and play with a different hopper

The trend back in the day was to own 2, one covered in electrical tape and another in decent shape (because you just purchased it)

The later ones with black clips instead of silver screws are a lot stronger.

But still weak.

Nothing to do for em.

They work good I wish they made a fully exact same dimensions new one with good plastic. I think theyre the perfect hopper for an autococker with a back block.

I knew that was coming. Ha. I can appreciate the sentiment, believe me I can. Thereís no 2 ways about it. The shells are garbage. I just enjoy using them. Iíll be been playing for 20 years & have pretty much only used revys & eggs the entire time. I just have a soft spot for them I suppose. Itís the same reason I keep an arsenal of stingrays around.
