DYE aluminum knockoff?

Bought a barrel lot off of eBay for what I thought was an ICD threaded DYE aluminum. I have another DYE aluminum that's clearly marked "DYE" on the side, but this one has no markings. The front sections look identical.20190316_160556.jpeg

I'm thinking it is being that the tip is spot on to my other one. I just thought it was weird because DYE puts their logo on everything.

Dye had a few logo variations over the years on aluminum barrels... Unmarked, screen printed, machined and even laser engraved

Yup, I remember buying an old aluminum brand new in the plastic tube and it had no Dye markings on the barrel. I have owned many through the years and several had no markings. I would say it's legit

Here's a comparison just for laughs. I also noticed the shorter one(in question), doesn't have an boring groove. Guess it's just an earlier version. 1552841195012.jpeg

The one you've recently purchased has a different flute pattern towards the threading. That is unusual.

Yeah, they alternate lengths. The shoulder there is quite a bit longer, too.
