PGP2K Rollout Fixes

I have this fancy pants custom PGP:

And while it is super cool, it does me no good. Why, you ask? Rollouts. ALL the rollouts. This bore is so big, it has rollouts when you point it straight up. That's right, gravity defying rollouts.

Okay, maybe not that bad, but still. You get the idea.

I'm sure this has been beaten to death, but what are some different things I can try to calm this problem down? I'm pondering drilling and tapping the side of the barrel just in front of the "chamber" and installing one of those spring loaded ball bearings (don't remember the technical term) you see on 'cockers and the like. I seem to remember people doing a nail polish trick as a quick fix, but I'd like something more permanent.

Also, with this big of a bore, how bad of a velocity/pressure bleed-off can I expect as the Co2 escapes around the ball?

Someone smarter than me can answer as to whether there is enough metal for a cocker detent.

Wedgits would scare me with a cool finish like that.

Might want to think about the palmer detents - the ones that are a plastic ball and C-shaped spring. PPS uses them to prevent double feeds, but you might be able to move one a bit forward to prevent rollouts. You would have to drill a hole in the breach/barrel, and a small hole in the solder between the barrel and feedtube, but you wouldn't have to worry about tapping or threading anything.

Just because I didn't know what wedgits were for a long time:

Sweet PGP2K btw!

Definitely not enough meat for a cocker detent. Wedgits will be your quickest permanent solution. There’s also the loop of yarn trick. Not permanent and gets chopped up by your bolt, but certainly does the trick.

Normally I'd say just DIY wedgits, but something this nice calls for a professional job.

Seconded. I usually measure and hammer in my own, but you really run the risk of exposing the brass if you try that on this gun.

I would go with nail polish ... Invisible, removable, and no risk to the finish ...
Use a long, fine paint brush to makes a few dabs, you might have to put a few layers to get it to the thickness you want/need.
