Mask Fans?

Anybody use these?

I wear a Proflex and 95% of the time there is no fogging problem at all, but that 5% of the time that I cant see a thing because of a perfect storm of heavy breathing, temperature, and humidity I'd do just about anything for my clear lens back.

Looking at reviews, they seem pretty mixed and inconclusive. Some people say they are too loud, others say that the noise can be fixed with oil. I've read people that wont play without one and people who say it doesn't do a thing anyway.

I'm a big fan of my mask (no pun intended) so I'm not looking to get something else, just looking for something that might help me out after running a mile on a scenario field.

Yes, they work. I've used the old JT fans, a Fanz kit and an ExFog system. The old JT fans were loud. The Fanz kit was quiet, but it has a homebrew look to it. The ExFog is the most expensive option, but works fantastically. I'm currently using the ExFog to keep my glasses clear. My son inherited the Fanz kit for his i4.

I've only ever used the JT fans, but like Jon said they're functional and noisy.

I've used the JT fan ever since it came out. I wore glasses for the past 30 years but had Lasik a few years back. Now the fan just keeps me cooler since my thermal goggles never fogged anyways.

There is also this option, more on the pricey side but they work better than any other option that I have seen on the market right now.

I always build my own fan system into my masks. Simple laptop fans wired to a battery pack of some sort. Seems quieter than the paintball branded ones but can be heavier depending on what battery you put on there. Also looks nowhere near as clean either.

Yep. That's my current favorite. My glasses stay clear no matter how humid it is or how heavily I'm breathing.

I like mine. Lost a connection some where. I have two 5 volt fans in series with a 9 volt battery. They add weight, so expect to adjust mask strap tension if you don't keep it tight to start with. One battery lasts a long time.
