ID/Appraisal

Hey everyone, got myself a marker in a gear bag sale. Guy said it was a Dye dm1 and I know that's not right, but I'm not sure if this is even an LED or LCD since there are no lights on it. Just the switch in the back.

What do the experts think?

Dm3 I do believe

There never was a DM1

Value is..... I'd guess not much, I've never seen a huge demand for these, especially in somewhat rough condition

It would be a DM3, not a DM4, they went to the more modern CNC body style. Not an old school Matrix expert but ya, I don't believe it's a DM, the cut would be farther back on the body. I think it's a Gen E LED?

Not a DM3 but an early Diablo matrix with the slider switch and no LPR. Very early gun for sure.

As far as price, as-is untested and absolutely filthy and without barrel you're looking at $80-$90 shipped. If you cleaned it up and got it to hold air and function you're looking at more like $130ish. Unfortunately without the Matrix branded barrel it's not complete so that hurts the value. Any scratches on the body will hurt the value but it's hard to tell condition of the anno from those photos.

Fan of EMR
There was another company that made the matrix, pre-Dye. Who was it again? I can't remember. I'm also not well versed enough in these things to give any input beyond, but I do hear these are absolutely killer shooters.

I do have one, I've just never shot it. Honestly, for what you'd get for it, you should probably just keep it as a shooter. Haha

I think Airtech made them and Diablo sold them

Generation-e also made them between Airtech and Dye.

Everybody pretty much has it covered. That would have come with a beehive reg and probably pewter grips. Also, I think the slide switch board is capped at 12bps.

Did the slide switch boards have the dip switches for adjusting dwell and ROF? I remember seeing a board with just 2 dip switches and limited options but you could still choose between 4 different dwell settings.

They just have one dip switch for dwell adjustments, which determines your max rof also.
