pre2k right feed pump questions

Hello all!

I plan on building a pre 2k right feed pump cocker and I have a few questions as far as compatibility and would greatly appreciate some insight/recommendations.

I have a classic dust black pre2k body that I plan to convert to pump (not my first cocker pump build but it is my first pre2k pump build)

Here is the parts list that I currently plan to use:
-Autococker parts 99 slice kit (silver)
-PE sl3 regulator
-Autococker parts slide frame
-PE pops ASA
-AKA Delrin lighting bolt 99
-Autococker parts brass valve lower tube kit - complete (standard or low pressure???)
-Inception IVG for ease of use

My main questions and concerns are basically which lower tube kit I should be using? Would either of the autococker parts lower tube kits work well with a sl3 reg in a 99 body? is the standard or low pressure better in this application?

Thanks in advanced.

In my experience standard pressure is easier to tune for pumps. I had a hell of a time getting an LP valve/bolt combo to work well except for in a very narrow FPS range, YMMV. Any time I've used a standard valve it's been relatively easy.

The brass lowers will be fine and the sl3 is a solid reg, as long as you're not using co2. Post some build pics, we love build pics here.

Also you'll need to check on which ivg you can use as 98-99 bodies were threaded, but 97 and earlier were not.

For a pump, I would highly recommend not using a Lightning bolt. They fit pretty tightly in the body, to the point where it's going to really stiffen up the pump stroke. For pump, I'd recommend something like a shocktech alien bolt, or anything without o-rings.

Depending on what year the body is, you're going to sweetspot anywhere from 350 to 650 psi. Make sure the reg can output that.

“But Lord,” asked Gabriel, “Is this not too generous to these Canadians?”

And God replied, “Just wait and see the neighbors I shall inflict upon them.”

I really like the WGP delrin bolts with the o-rings removed. They slide easily, are gentle on detents and get minimal blowback. Plus they're cheap. I've had good luck with ANS quickpulls too.
