$10 Garage Sale Diablo Pump

So, one of my fraternity brothers here at college brought me a Diablo pump he picked up at a YMCA garage sale for $10. I broke it down, cleaned it, oiled it, and aired it up. It doesn't leak and appears as though it will shoot well, although I only dry fired it.

Pics:

It came with an old school drop out changer that it missing it's knob. I had a couple of quick questions:

Is there a replacement knob available? Would a phantom dropout knob work?

How is the velocity adjusted?

The thumb screws that hold the trigger frame to the body are rusted and stripping out. Are replacements available?

How much is it worth, roughly?

I'll post more on it when we get it out to a field.

Thanks!

since they're no longer manufactured you'd probably need to make a trip to the hardware store.

my guess would be $15-25 if it shoots ok
maybe 25-35 if you get the screws replaced and it shoots ok

The 12 gram changer is liekly aftermarket. Probably worth $10 to $20 itself if you had the knob. As far as what knob would work, I've no idea.
Velocity is adjusted inside the fronbolt, via allenhead. Clockwise is up, counterclockwise down.
Thumbscrews are probably replaceable with similar length thumbscrews from other nelson clones.
Worth is roughly $50, i'd say, if you relace the worn screws and get fgood fps.
Good luck with it, they are neat little shooters.

good point, have you yanked its guts and taken a picture? Is it an adjustable bolt?

How does the hammer look? some can get really worn down from auto triggering.

if it holds air/shoots on its own then a would say price is +/- 30. as to the 12g changer you would probably have better luck replacing it outright, i belive that it is standard ASA threaded (you could attach in any standard asa reg, stock, 12g changer, ect.)

as it is right now economy, lack of flashy-ness i would say you would be hard pressed for selling above the 30$ mark (imo) it would be better served as a gear bag back up, hold on to it and make use of it for the time being.

I'm normally not too good with dates so I could be a little bit off, but..

Goat, the one time that I think he was referring to was 10:56AM central time, March 27th 1991 to 10:58AM March 27th 1991.

For those 2 minutes, the Diablo Deluxe by CMI was the "hot rod" of the paintball world.
