Wow, my old thread is back.

Yes, I put a 1/2" x 1/4" strip of duct tape length-wise about 3/4" deep into the barrel. I put two of these on the opposite sides. It worked. Original pieces are still there too after numerous barrel breaks, cleaning sessions, warm water, and swabbing and squeegee'ing.

nail polish and electrical tape both worked for me.

but my .684 boomstick works even better.
