Which valve to use?

I recently finished my Sniper and I'm now wanting to swap my stock valve for something that would help me lower my operating pressure (and hopefully quiet it some more, too).

I will be running the Sniper off compressed air, as I'm using a post 2k body at the moment.

I was thinking the AKA Tornado with a set of Maddman springs.

ALSO on the other end of the spectrum, for my electro cocker build, what valve would you guys recommend for a high performance build. (and as for now, I'm steering clear of the MQ, although that would be cool )

No need to change the stock valve for a sniper if it is not leaking. The valve in a 2K+ body is sufficient to run your pressure all the way down to the 200 psi range. I would not recommend going that low but it will do it fine. Anymore I shoot for 300-400psi for consistancy, soft pump stoke and quietness.

That being said the AKA Tornado valve is very nice. I've used the following with good result at low pressure:

1 - Stock 2K+
2 - Rat 3.16
3 - AKA Tornado
4 - CCM lower tube kit

To lower your pressure you are going to have to re-spring you valve and main spring. Might even have to find a heavier hammer though normally you do not have too. If you are not experienced in re-springing/tuning a sniper follow the link below, this is how I do it

The PPS valve is a very good valve. I had the old ccm valve in my series 5 and it always farted. I couldnt get it to stop all the way with my springs. So i got the PPS valve and love it.

I use the stock valve for efficiency. It's cheap and it works better than the rest.

leave the stock valve in, if you want less sound signature, switch over to CO2 and run a regulator.

Problem with a light spring setup is the hammer bounce or valve farting, it can be more annoying than a loud signature.
