Getting plastic frame to work on trilogy

Ok guys iv been trying to get a plastic slider to work on my trilogy, i know the hoses will have to be reversed what im running into is the timing rod is in a slight bind somewhere, iv tried filing the frame down where the rod rides but that didnt help, and yes i did file the valve nut down as well, has any one else ran into this problem

Are you using the stock 3-way rod on it or the TechT adjustable one? If the stock one, the length might be an issue depending on the frame. I've never tried a slider on mine though, so its just a guess.
