Retros in the Wild

Just curious as to how many of the Retros produced are still alive and pumping out in the wild.

Jackson and I played some recball with our respective retros the weekend before last and had a blast. This was actually the first gameplay use that my "Suicide Style" R7 has seen since I received it eons ago (first time back on the field for myself in over 3 years, actually).

I know Deadpool has his out for some work right now as well, but other than that, I haven't seen much of them on the interwebz.

Lemme know what's up!

I still have my gen 3; haven't used it yet, but I intend to sometime this season. I want to pick up a longer barrel beforehand though...not willing to put up with the exploding paint that the open TPC and short barrel combo leads to.

How are you guys running them? Bone stock configuration?

I have number 154. A gen 3. I plan on using it a lot now that it's warmer.

Pretty much, with the exception of a custom printed pump handle. I was shooting hot (real hot >300fps) with the stock spring configuration and the TPC bottomed out so I had to respring and shim the valve to get it just under 280 consistently. Shot really well all day with the exception of one game late in the day where I was having a feed/breakage issue, but I think that was more paint related than anything. Field stripped it at staging, cleaned everything up and reassembled with no issues afterwards.

Jackson is running his with a Lapco #6 powertube and SSC fluted hammer and gets very good air efficiency. I'm working towards outfitting mine similarly.

#42 gets used regularly.

I put in a stock cci tpc and a red spring for use with the short barrel. Stock spring with a longer barrel. No issues.

#14 is doing well and gone through many old school mods and a few new ones to make it the beast it is now (like a trigger job, ball detents, weight reduction, First strike access without removing the feed tube, as well as a magnetic co2 knob)....Jackson helped tremendously to get it where it is,how is he btw he hasn't been on here in a while? As for the exploding paint issue try something Carter suggested and open the breech where the ball sits up a bit, seems to have worked great on mine

Gen 1 number Five is doing well, but I am worried about my 12g seal may go soon.

I'm diggin' it, Chaos! Yeah, Jackson has still been playing but with more obligations come less forum time. Finally getting to hit the field with him again has been awesome to say the least.

Got a fluted hammer installed tonight; just need to have it tuned for Saturday!
Lastly, here's a pic of #166 with the new pump handle.

I'd love to fine my number Seven again. I've only owned it 5 times, and need it back again.
