I've really been enjoying Tin Cup lately. About $20 for a 750, plus tax. Pretty tastey. Comes with a bonus tin cup shot glass, which I rarely use. I just take a sip from the bottle.

Last weekend the wife and I discovered Texas Tail Distillery on the seawall in Galveston. Tiny distillery that moved from Dallas, using north Texas grains. They have vodka, whiskey, and a "moonshine" which is a 40 proof liqueur in flavors (peach, cherry, and apple). The vodka is smooth and the whiskey is pretty nice too. The moonshine makes good mixing. They have a tasting room there. We got there in the afternoon and "sampled" until walking to dinner. We dropped off some bottles in the car though. Not at all fancy, but a very nice spot altogether.

Being an official"tasting room", it is not a bar and the prices are cheap for the drinks.
