my proficiency engine likes to snap aluminum parts in half...

I have yet to see if the supercharger fixes it. but I liked the vice I shot for my last tournament.

These are great guns. PE engines shipped recently from bob long come with the supercharged version of the proficiency engine. These two things are not mutually exclusive, the last four I purchased all came with the supercharged version of the PE already installed. I would check with with anyone that you are considering buying one of these from. The supercharged version just stops the bolt from breaking. The old style one used thread locker to hold it in place and the supercharged version is a bit beefier and snaps into place.

Well, I should be receiving my Closer EXP tomorrow. They are really inexpensive at ANS Gear right now for a NIB gun, although they are out of Dust Black (had to go with my second choice, gloss red). I will open it up and see what's inside when I get it.

main thing i dont like about the EXP is that its a dumbed down closer. its cheaper to buy a regular closer than buy an EXP and add the upgrades.

Well, I compared the Closer EXP to a full price Closer...

I already have an on/off ASA and a barrel kit to put on it; ~1200-1400 shots per a tank is fine by me; and the 4C eye system isn't really necessary.

All the guns I own are project guns. My plan with this gun is to leave it stock except maybe the on/off ASA. I've been wanting to get a NIB tournament-grade gun for a couple years now, and in my opinion, if you pay more than $300 for a gun, you really shouldn't need to upgrade anything.

That said, the only thing I'm not looking forward to is the red loctite on the bolt (where it screws into the bolt rod, or whatever it's called). My plan for this gun is that I will not take it apart until I need to (unlike every other gun I've own which I've taken apart and then spent months swearing at as I try to figure out what I broke).
