That's right. There is the air passage from the LPR to the manifold.

Not sure about the manufacturing standpoint, but to me it's just a different way of doing it. Bob's always tried to think outside the box. I personally never had a problem with the way it came apart, I didn't like it or hate it one way or the other. Just different.

I've always been baffled at how little love Bob Long guns get. I've always enjoyed them, from function to form. (although the insight came off kinda unsightly at first)

It's because you actually need to maintain them slightly to love them. Quite a few people on our team shot g6r's and most have sold them off cause they shoot like "crap' if they shoot at all....... none of which own a pressure tester.

Yep. Love your G6R and it will love you back. All of mine (I think it has been 6 or 7) have worked flawlessly. All you need is a pressure tester, some dow55, and a little bit of time.

^^^

Which is funny because besides PE, Bob Long guns require very little maintenance. Even the Insight only requires a little lube every outing. I shot about 5 cases a month from March-September through my G6R. I Cracked the LPR and HPR open once this year, lubed the ram once a month. Shot great, hasn't gone down yet.

I agree, pretty little maintenance. Only ever went down once and that was a particularly sh***y dive that shot the o-ring out of the front of the ASA (LOL)

6 or 7? I have only one...and this ONE was purchased fairly shortly after the initial release, and it has been the only gun I've used when not playing pump. I've played a ton of recball and a couple of scenario games each year. It's been bullet-proof. All I ever did was sweet-spot the regs and record the pressures...I've ran those same pressures for years and the gun is fantastic!

I um. I gun whored the g6r a little bit.
The very first one that I got shot the most consistently. the dragon was the most smooth. Everything in-between was quickly sold and traded away for profit.

Every try and mill a complex curve internally really far into a work piece?

Yeah...... not easy. Even with a CNC center your set up/fixture needs to be perfect or will scrap.

oh i believe you. my whole point about a poor design has more to do with the fact of, if thats the only way your design can be made, whats stopping you from making it in a way that doesnt require that..

"if pushing isnt working try pulling" sort of thing
