An adventure to make MVP more quiet

Short story, I heard a lot of people was complaining it was LOUD. The people I play with said it wasn't that loud, just little quieter than EGO. I brainstormed for awhile to make it quieter. I am in woodsball team, the kind who does a lot of flanking.

-Get raincover? (unsure if it will do well with inline poppet)
-Get heavier springs to increase FPS so I can reduce the regulator pressure even more
-etc...?

The progress I already overtook
-I brought one of TJD custom bolt, it made the pump stroke more nicer feeling, less of metallic and clacking.
-Just brought a Deadlywind Fibur barrel (haven't shot with it yet)
-Use freak inserts to underbore little bit

Really, I was hoping this thread will be basic open discussion about what do you guys have done to your MVP.

Try a softer seal in the valve perhaps?

I gotta say mine is not that loud. Never really has been. Maybe I got lucky or just don't put a lot of thought into what it sounds like. That being said, I bought a deadly wind barrel with it and that's all I've used. Now I did the washer mod just to see the difference. Very minimal. With the left coast pb pump handle and a "hitman" mod, this marker to me is now the ****.

I am less concerned now, since I barrel tagged one guy and shot other three behind their backs two days ago. I made one extra step by picking up a PICO hopper, so no dry fires to give away my position. Less than $60.00 for the shell and the internals, I think I did good here.

Still want to pick up a raincover to see if it makes any noticeable difference.

I have a Carter Machine raincover that I've used on my MVP before and it didn't make much of a difference in the report. It did change the sound signature but I don't think it was any quieter. Now, that raincover on my Phantom is a whole different story. You cannot hear that thing at all when I slap it on there.

If you have access to a 3D printer maybe you could make a venturi style insert that you could press fit into the power tube?

Maybe I will pick up a raincover anyway for my stock class phantom... Venturi style insert sounds doesnt so bad. I cant get where the loudness is coming from... and does anybody knows what is the valve spring dimensions and maybe where I can get stronger/lighter ones?

I thought I saw someone talking about incorporating a RVA to compress/tune the valve spring...ever that idea became a reality? (besides using washers to compress the spring)

Got my new ninja slp v2.0 regulator. It was noticeable more consistent and easier on the o-rings

How about the sound signature, any different?

I have to agree, I have one of TJD's raincovers and it reduces the noise to nill on my phantom, (as seen in my avitar) and there is a noticable difference on my T2 as well. See if you can find one of those, they a basically designed to slip right in a DW barrel.

You can play. Maybe not well. You'll fit in fine.
