honestly, im a once a week player during the spring and summer, and on the paintball forums daily. If I have to ask this question, it might be time for a web update, because there are lots of others who definitely won't know.

Same goes for Palmers. Great guns, funky website, word-of-mouth-only advertising.

But I doubt either one is going anywhere soon

You can still get new MVPs from Blast.

I just ordered an MVP. They are still in production, although I wasn't given a definitive time frame.

I'm necroing this thread a bit.

I'm glad that Bob will still be around, but others will be there to pick up the slack. I emailed about an MVP in July and August and never got a response.

Order a Brand New one a few weeks ago (just as the sale was going through publicly), it was over a week late (which is no biggie) but it arrived without the grip tape and the attention to detail was very poor. When I chrono'd it, I noticed the pump had a ton of wobble, and realized most of the allen screws were crazy loose.

With that said, I thought the MVP shot well (until I blew a seal), and I hope the O-ring fix for the sound is successful, as if I can get it a bit quieter, I'll keep it. They're very fun guns.

Take a 1.5 mm cross section by 3mm diameter Oring. Put it on the back of the blast guide. (Instead of the standard sized one). Fixed the problem for me!

My leak was the small o-ring on the body. No biggie, that stuff happens.

To have such poor QC was a bit sad though. With that said, with the O-ring fix (ordered them today), I think I'm going to love this gun.

Bob just sold his company a few weeks ago.
The new customer service is top-notch so far, and they're currently building a new website. This is a relief, because Zach Long wasn't exactly doing a great job with things.

Bob Long sells BLAST (manufacturer of the iconic Intimidator) to Eric Crandall

As I understand it, they're moving "back towards basics" No more custom ordering colors for a while, while they get their feet back underneath them. They're currently being completely bombarded by customer service requests, now that people know they're effective again.

My suggestion was for the loud sound

Sound was fixed a bit, got a buddy working on a spacer mod made of delrin that has worked great on his.

Anyway, besides the sound (which isn't bad) this thing shoots amazing. +-3 without the reg even being remotely broken in, smooth shot, great point and shoot feel, and unbelievable ball placement.

I absolutely love this gun.
