Rapper feedneck doesn't fit (SOLVED: Closer =/= Marq)

Picked up a Rapper in a gear lot a while back, was missing a few pieces I've been slowly replacing.

Found a locking feedneck on the Armoury, arrived super quick, excited to have that replaced... But, it doesn't fit. There's a nub on the front of the Rapper, how is the feedneck supposed to fit over that?

there should be a recess inside the ring to allow for the nub, i think?

i know i needed one awhile ago, and i called blast directly and got a replacement ring that fit the closer it was going on

Take the Wedge out by unscrewing it all the way. Place feedneck on. Put Wedge back in place and put screw back in. Done

Taking out the wedge was the first thing I did, no difference. The collar is stuck on the nub on the front, there is no recess for it to fit into.

Well, after much internet searching, it looks like this is a Marq-Closer feedneck, which is different from all the other Marq variety feednecks, which would have that nub.

I'm shocked it took me this long to find the information, there is literally only one thread on PBN where there is the mention of the Closer feedneck being different. Sigh.

And here's my new Marq feedneck!

Neither John at Armorypaintball.com nor I had ever dealt with a Closer feedneck before, but he was kind enough to offer an exchange once the difference was noted. Stand up guy, I commend his commitment to customer service and willingness to ship to Canada.

I can't complain much about Bob Longs, but I guess this is the price paid when the Closer needed to be that 5grams lighter by removing the nub and thinning the feedneck collar. Still, just happy to have my Rapper complete.
