machinery kijiji finds

Thought I would start a thread for interesting machinery finds on kijiji. Seems some people are looking for lathes and or mills for their hobby fun, so here is a place to post the good finds.

I'll generally only post things that are worthwhile to the home machinist. IE cheap and sturdy, not expensive and wimpy. I'll post 3phase stuff if I see it because you can generally repower them on the cheap or get a drive to phase convert for it for very little money.

I'll throw up any tooling I find that is decently priced.

atlas lathe : price is a little high for most people, but it is a very solid lathe.

Atlas Metal Lathe - London Tools & Hardware For Sale - Kijiji London

that one is crossposted all over the place.

another old but good name
South Bend Metal Lathe 13" - Woodstock Tools & Hardware For Sale - Kijiji Woodstock

an old southbend with no tailstock

Metal Lathe for Sale - Kawartha Lakes Tools & Hardware For Sale - Kijiji Kawartha Lakes

An old complete atlas for a good price

Atlas Metal lathe with stand - runs well - Toronto Tools & Hardware For Sale - Kijiji Toronto

No idea about this one, but the price isn't horrible

Toolex Metal Lathe. Good Condition. Great for home shop. - London Tools & Hardware For Sale - Kijiji London

Never thought of looking on Kijiji for machinery.
I was going to see if my boss could keep an eye out for machines at auction, I might be able to use in my garage for a good price. Hey I can always hope for some nice CNC equipment.

kinda pricey but neat

Lathe - Hamilton Tools & Hardware For Sale - Kijiji Hamilton

Dinky but I hear they make half decent stuff

taig lathe and accessories - Toronto Tools & Hardware For Sale - Kijiji Toronto

hard to go wrong with southbend

SOUTH BEND LATHE/ MILL - Toronto Tools & Hardware For Sale - Kijiji Toronto

I also found a whole pile of those combination hobby mill / lathes. I wouldn't wish those on anyone when you could buy both pieces seperately for less.

The first one is pretty pricey for an ancient machine like that. It does come with a DRO ($500 if you shop around) and some form of tooling though ( might be collets too hard to tell)

That second one is probably worth the money since it is both a horizontal and a vertical mill in one. Its a sheldon which I believe was a pretty good name, and as a plus its a toolmakers unit. That generally means its a pretty accurate machine in the first place.

Good to know.

Any idea how good Beaver tools are? I've been noticing a lot of their bandsaws, lathes and the like popping up recently.

As far as I know beaver only made woodworking tools. They were part of rockwell/delta. Probably made in china nowdays like general.
