Walking the field at Panther Paintball on Sunday March 20th. No games, we're just gonna determine the best place for flag stations, but if you wanna say hey please do.

I'll be the guy wearing the high-viz vest carrying a Line SI Bushmaster.

Can't wait to start playing on the 26th!

Heck of a fun day! Wolverines, Pump Zeppelin and one the the Drifters played and had a great time. Good showing by Pump Zeppelin to take top points in March!

Details and pictures here.

Looking forward to the April games already. ApoC, we're gonna have to do something about your kills/death average...its unnaturally good!

What's the setup if there's more than 3 teams at one day? Running games on more than one field? Or a different reffing/playing rotation? Wouldn't mind finding a team and getting out for one of these days.

Hey Grady,

The league is structured to play three teams at a time, but if we end up surprised with an additional team we'll figure out a way to get 'em in. Since we're a free league playing the game for fun we can quickly come up with solutions on the day to fit that day.

Not having prizes on the line makes people pretty cool with changes if those changes get more people playing.

If we get six teams that want to play (and we certainly hope we get that many teams) the plan is to have them play three-at-a-time on one of the other fields that support PWL games. We've got Tsawwassen, Panther and Maple Ridge to choose from, and we're happy to have games going on at all of them if team response requires it.

If you can't wrangle at least five other players for your team you should join the Drifters. The Drifters is the only team that is allowed to have players jump around to fill spots on any other team that need it, which means you'll always be able to play (and ref) and you'll be able to build your personal stats (points scored go to the team you are playing with at the time).

On days when five or more Drifters show up they play as their own team.

Let us know if you want in.

Yup, the field we are using at Panther's is long and pretty narrow, with a river along one tape and a high ridge along the other tape. Its got just enough trees to make shooting cross-field (tape to tape) tough and its way too long to shoot its length.

Takes about 40 seconds of all-out running to get from your starting base to the center flag for the grab...and when you know the other team has someone doing the same you feel the motivation to hustle.

In April we're likely playing Maple Ridge Paintball...it'll be fun to see how it compares.
