It's almost here.
Let's show some pride, and pay our respects to those that paid so much for us.
In Flanders Fields
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved, and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.
— Lt.-Col. John McCrae (1872 - 1918)

I will be participating in the parade in Montreal
Blow out, you bugles, over the rich Dead!
There's none of these so lonely and poor of old,
But, dying, has made us rarer gifts than gold.
These laid the world away; poured out the red
Sweet wine of youth; gave up the years to be
Of work and joy, and that unhoped serene,
That men call age; and those who would have been,
Their sons, they gave, their immortality.
Blow, bugles, blow! They brought us, for our dearth,
Holiness, lacked so long, and Love, and Pain.
Honour has come back, as a king, to earth,
And paid his subjects with a royal wage;
And Nobleness walks in our ways again;
And we have come into our heritage.

And allow the citizens of the United States of America honor those men and women of Canada who have given their lives alongside our own soldiers.

when I donated and picked up my poppy this year and thanked the @ elderly Veterans for their service;
first they were very surprised that I thanked them,
and the obviously elder of the 2 was almost moved to tears.
how can so many just walk by our Veterans, looking the other way, pretending that these men aren't even there!?
people that have the gall to look away, turning a cold heart to our Veterans, do not deserve the freedom these men fought for. seeing their brothers in arms falling around them.

S6 Fund $1.70/$540
I'm sporting a poppy on my jacket, and on my backpack.
Donated like 2 dollars for them.
The veterans fought and died for us, it's only fair on our half to remember their struggles.
