Sorry, I was not clear:
I am looking to have freak front threads (challenging, but not as difficult as phantom threads) cut on phantom barrels for phantom barrel freak tips (1.5" to 10" in length).

Every airsmith I talk to gives me the stink eye when I ask them to cut phantom threads.

In the world I see - you are stalking elk through the damp canyon forests around the ruins of Rockefeller Center. You'll wear leather clothes that will last you the rest of your life. You'll climb the wrist-thick kudzu vines that wrap the Sears Tower. And when you look down, you'll see tiny figures pounding corn, laying strips of venison on the empty car pool lane of some abandoned superhighway.

That sounds sweet! Are they all spoken for (when they get done)?

Yeah, I thought they would be a super slick/low key freak front that filled the short barrel market niche that is sorely under developed for freak fronts.

BUT, None are spoken for. I have not even opened up an interest thread for this item due to Ryan's flakiness, and no other airsmith's being interested in taking on the work. The diameter of the phantom barrel may be an issue in chucking it up in a lathe (but I know nothing of machining).

so If any airsmith's capable of doing freak front re-threading would like to make some money/make something for the community, please let me know

up to this point no airsmiths have stepped up to the plate.

Yeah, don't see any need for Freak XL. To each their own.

I can also make brass freak XL inserts in .685, .678 and .670

I can also make titanium .680 inserts in Freak and Freak XL lengths.

The only advantage I can see to freak xl inserts is the added length makes them potentially more efficency for low pressure and slow Impulse markers, such as spool marker.

I have a set of your brass freak inserts (standard length) and love them! They are all I use. Should sell my stainless set now that I think about it.
