Clear Acrylic Phantom Pump Handles - Rare? Brittle?

Hi,

Been totally out of the game for about a decade. When the old field closed last weekend (moved locations), I went to pay respects and got bit hard by the nostalgia bug.

It seems like clear acrylic Phantom parts haven't been made for some time. I've read they have become much more brittle than the delrin handles with age. Are clear parts still usable? Has the material really gotten that brittle with age?

Do people hold onto/hoard them now that they are no longer made? Can I start my ideal phantom build without one, or should I wait for an example that comes with a clear handle.

I've always wanted an open class phantom with a clear pump handle. I am way out of the loop and appreciate any insight.

The pump handles seem to hold up fine, its the feed blocks that break, mainly from having the feed tube over tightened repeatedly.

I've got a clear "smoke" handle I was planning to list this week. Pm me if you're interested.

Ive had a clear handle sitting in my collection for quite some time, they're super sturdy even when I checked it about a week ago.

Mike still has a few on phantoms that he is selling. I saw some last weekend. I sold my clear handle years ago when I got a UC kit. Kind of wish I still had it. I still have all the rest of the clear parts, and none are cracked.

Sorry not for sale. I know they're hard to come by.

Are we talking just clear white or all clear colors? I have a purple set that I don't really have a use for.
