Alternatives to velocity adjuster

I was going over my gear tonight and realized i don't own a velocity adjuster for my phantom!
Hoping to play on sunday, and dont have time to get one out here by then, are there any alternatives for adjusting vocity? Been thinking about a long flathead screwdriver, but am concerned that i may scratch it.

Take off barrel, adjust with flat head a little bit and put back on, or a really long flat head wrapped in tape work

A wood dowel with a slot cut in the end and a metal washer glued in the slot will work also. I pull my barrel and use a screw driver.
