Feed neck

I think it does but before I strain to take it off I will ask...

Does the feedneck of the S6B come off? I am going to have the gun anno'd so I need to remove it for what I am doing.

thanks

seth

yes it does. It has been red loctite. There is a good chance it may get ruined. Check to see if you have a socket that the feed neck will clamp on. Apply a little hairdryer heat to the feedneck attach your socket wrench and crank it loose. If that don't work try to get a wooden dowel that it will clamp to and grab the dowel with vice grips and twist. But usually they get ruined.

make sure you clean the threads out before ano.

Since you are going to anno it, there's no reason to not use a torch on the parts. Locktite looses it's strength when heated, and you will get better results than using a hairdryer.

Usually this is not advised, because too much heat will ruin your anno. Be carefull to not overheat. If the anno starts to discolor, its hot enough for the locktite to have melted.

CCM... please step AWAY from the RED Loktite. Blue is fine for the feed necks... no?

I've got mine loose with just clamping a reloader in it and twist. Then very carefully unscrewing it so the locktite did not eat up the threads. But without heat, it's a huge gamble.. After taking measurements for my Twin2 project, i assembled it with blue locktite. It holds perfectly.

Yeah, I've taken mine out by just unscrewing it with a hopper in it...
